I spent the end of this afternoon looking around the ' UL'. As a member of staff at EBI I'm eligible for a 'borrowers card'. So today I thought I'd go in to check out some books that I need for the computational linguistics research I'm doing. The library is vast (it has six floors!) - although not as vast as I'd imagined. It was fun just to wander around it. I wandered through the medical section (accidentally), took a look at the theology shelves, and then picked up the books I needed from the Linguistics area. Having access is quite nice - I can use it to get hold of some of the books I've wanted to look at for a while, but haven't quite managed to persuade myself I need to buy. Like Herman Bavinck's Reformed Dogmatics, and William Mounce's Basics of Biblical Greek Grammar. Tags: cambridge, interesting, university library
