I have survived L-space
I spent the end of this afternoon looking around the 'UL'. As a member of staff at EBI I'm eligible for a 'borrowers card'. So today I thought I'd go in to check out some books that I need for the computational linguistics research I'm doing.

The library is vast (it has six floors!) - although not as vast as I'd imagined. It was fun just to wander around it. I wandered through the medical section (accidentally), took a look at the theology shelves, and then picked up the books I needed from the Linguistics area.

Having access is quite nice - I can use it to get hold of some of the books I've wanted to look at for a while, but haven't quite managed to persuade myself I need to buy. Like Herman Bavinck's Reformed Dogmatics, and William Mounce's Basics of Biblical Greek Grammar.

I have always suspected that one day I will just walk into the UL and never come out again. When I was living in Cambridge it was unusual for me not to have my full quota of books out from it. Unfortunately it's much less convenient these days.

Do you live outside of Cambridge now? Don't you work in Cambridge (at LBO)?
